One of the older breed associations in Missouri
is the Missouri Arabian Horse Association, formed in
1957, by a dozen owners and breeders of these
exquisite animals. Their purpose was to promote the
use and ownership of Arabian horses. Since those
early days, membership has grown to over 100 Senior
members and more than 30 Junior members.
Nationally, MAHA is affiliated with the Arabian Horse
Association which coordinates the efforts of many
Arabian Clubs both in the US and Canada. This club
takes pride in offering support to an active youth
group, producing a regular newsletter, operating a
website, and encouraging participation through a
high point program, membership meetings, an awards
banquet, and an annual
Class A Arabian Horse Show.
