Rayville Saddle Club Horse Show Rules

The high point registration fee is $10.00 per horse and rider combo. The horse and rider combination must be nominated and paid with the Rayville Saddle Club before any points are kept for Year End High Point awards. This means that if a rider is placed at a show before they sign up for high point, the points will not count.  Points will not be retroactive.

For the Summer Circuit Shows you may nominate you and your horse for High point without being a Rayville Saddle Club member.  Points will only be kept for the Summer Circuit Shows.

Ages of riders are as of January 1st of current year.   The Judges decision is final.
ALL HORSES MUST HAVE A PROOF OF CURRENT NEGATIVE COGGINS TEST AT EACH SHOW

Green Horse: class is for horse not shown before this current show year.  The horse may not be entered in any other canter classes.  Also this horse is not to be cantered inside or outside of the arena while being ridden.  Doing so results in forfeiture of points.

Green Rider: Rider can NOT ride in any other canter classes.  Also this rider is not to canter inside or outside the arena at this event.  Doing so will result in forfeiture of points.

Ranch Horse: Adult & Youth - Horse must have Natural Mane & Tail. No Banded manes or manes shorter than 5 inches. No fake Tails allowed. Working Ranch Type Tack is the preferred gear. Any silver that has a working function is allowed examples: Saddle Conchos, Rear Billet Dees silver bits and spurs are acceptable. Any ornamental silver that does not have a working function is prohibited. The Judge may ask for a Walk, Jog/Extended Jog. Lope/Extended Lope (hand gallop) and must Back this class.  Natural Headset & Free Flowing gaits are the Standard for the Ranch Horse class.

In timed events no horse may be shown more than twice per class with different riders.
For safety reasons absolutely no running of horses in or out of the gate in any timed event.
All exhibitors 17 & under must wear ASTM-SEI helmets in timed events.
Any complaint, concern or question regarding a show or game class must be directed to an Officer of the club before or immediately after the class is finished.  Otherwise the show/game class will stand as announced.

Any issue not covered by Rayville rules will follow AQHA rules.
The Rayville Saddle Club is not responsible for any accidents, thefts or escapes.
