SHOW RULES 1 In consideration of the acceptance of any entry, the owner and/or exhibitor hereby releases and agrees not to hold show management and /or 4-State Horse Show Association from any liabilities for damage or loss if any suffered or sustained by owner, exhibitor, or handler of such entries as a result of personal injury or property damage or theft occurring in connection with or during these shows. 2 Shows will be conducted in accordance with 4-State Horse Show and USEF rules (except in classes where AWHA/PtHA rules apply). 3 Horse Types: Stock - predominantly Quarter Horse breeding, conformation and type. Hunter - predominantly Thoroughbred breeding, conformation and type. Saddle - predominantly Saddlebred, Hackney,Tennessee Walking Horse, or Foxtrotter breeding, conformation and type. Pleasure - predominantly Arabian or Morgan breeding, conformation and type. 4 Show Management reserves the right to split/or combine any classes. All riding classes greater than 14 may be split with top five called back to class to be placed in top five of callbacks. 5 Judges and Show Management reserve the right to remove any unmanageable animal/or person from the show at any time at his or her own discretion. 6 There will be a 2-minute gate call. THIS WILL BE ENFORCED. 7 Patterns for Showmanship, Equitation and Trail classes will be posted prior to the start of the show. 8 Neat attire required, proper dress not required, but a long sleeve shirt and boots are required. 9 All classes entered will be paid for before points will be recorded. 10 Entries must be made at least 3 classes before class entered. 11 All tabs will require a signed blank check upon entry. 12 Leadline riders cannot cross enter into any other classes. 13. Riders in Walk/Trot classes shall NOT enter a class that canters, or EVER HAVE RIDDEN IN A JUDGED CANTER CLASS. If it is a Novice Horse, the HORSE may not be entered in any canter class or have EVER been ridden in a judged canter class. 14 Gaited horses entered in Saddle Pleasure classes will be judged at favored when trot or jog is called for. 15 Horses need to do one of these gaits: Single foot, slow gait, rack, foxtrot, walking horse or Paso Fino, etc. (This refers to horses entered in class 52) 16 A Novice Horse entered in classes 11, 27 or 46 cannot have won three ribbons in that class in the previous year. If the horse qualifies for this class at the first show it may show in that class all year. 17 Hunter Hack riders (refers to entries in class 24) are required to wear an ASTM/SEI approved helmet with harness when schooling over fences and while showing in this class. 18 Stallions may only be shown in classes 1-9 of the halter block, and may not be shown in performance classes. |
REQUIREMENTSFORYEAR END AWARDS A.Year-End Awards go to 4-State Horse Show Association members that have paid the nomination fee, which is based upon a One Horse/One Rider combination. B. Points will be counted ONLY from the day you join and pay the nomination fee. C.You must show half of the eight 4-State Horse Shows and in the same classes. Halter points follow the horse not the handler. D.To qualify for year-end awards each exhibitor must work a total of five blocks during the show season. Block times may be exchanged or earned by non-members. Attending a meeting earns one block, being a committee member or holding an officer position counts for all five blocks. E. All high-point awards will be given at the year-end banquet. |
