GGAA reserves the right to hire and use qualified
veterinarians, dqps or farriers to check for unsoundness

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1. No Stallions shall be shown by exhibitors under the
age of 18 years, including leadline.
2. Judge’s decisions are final. Any discourtesy to a
Judge or Show Official by an exhibitor, parent, or agent
may cause the exhibitor to be dismissed from further
competition in all events, no refunds.
3. To be judged proper tack and attire are required for
all classes. Boots are required for all classes. A shirt
or vest must be worn and have a yoke or collar. Optional
to judges discretion.
4. No entering/exiting the ring at a run from any class.
5. A horse can only be entered one time per class with
only one exhibitor. With the exception of Leadline.
6. All exhibitors should be ready to enter the ring when
their class is called. No class will be delayed longer
than 2 minutes, waiting for an entry. This includes
speed horses that do not want to enter the ring.
All tack changes must be approved by the show steward
prior to entry registration and indicated on entry form.
Tack changes are a maximum of 5 minutes and are only
granted when horse/rider are in back-to-back classes. |
PENALTIES
1. Two seconds for each pole knocked down. 2. Five
seconds for each barrel knocked over.
DISQUALIFICATION
1. Hitting in front of the saddle – anytime in the ring.
2. Unnecessary roughness, hitting, or other abusive
behavior to the horse will dismiss the rider from
further competition – whether this occurs in the ring or
outside the ring.
3. Competing in a class for which you have not
registered.
4. Gaited horses: No action devices, bands, chains of
any kind.
REFUNDS
1. Class fees will be refunded only for an injured horse
or rider.
SPECTATORS
1. Please bring lawn chairs. Limited seating is
available.
2. Please stay in the designated area. Spectators are
not allowed by the Main Gate.
